Event Brand Ambassadors
Brand Pop-Up Event & Sales Staff, Romance Rave
Vivarium, 1818 N Farwell Ave, Milwaukee | Friday, September 11, 2026, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM | Two positions open
THE ROLE
Charm'd Earplugs is looking for two people to run our table solo, start to finish, at Romance Rave, presented by From Milwaukee With Love and hosted at Vivarium in Milwaukee on Friday, September 11. This isn't a stand-behind-the-table gig. You're picking up our materials, dressing the table, running the entire retail experience, and getting everything back to home base by the end of the night. There will be glitter, heart-shaped everything, and bookish music lovers galore. We won't be onsite, so you're representing Charm'd on your own. If you like loud rooms, fast conversations, and being the face of a brand people are meeting for the first time or already love, this is for you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
-
Pick up table materials, inventory, signage, iPad, and card reader from our Milwaukee location before the event
-
Transport materials to Vivarium and handle load-in
-
Set up the table: tablecloth, mirror, product display, and signage, to match our brand look
-
Operate the point-of-sale system on the provided iPad for the full event
-
Greet guests, answer product questions (28dB certified protection, charm design, ear tip sizing), and represent the Charm'd voice, including our identity as a women-owned, queer-owned brand
-
Process sales and checkouts accurately, cash and card
-
Keep the table stocked, tidy, and on-brand all night
-
Capture a few scroll-stopping selfies, product-in-the-wild shots, and short social clips throughout the night
-
Break down the table at close
-
Return all materials, unsold inventory, and reconciled cash/sales totals to our Milwaukee location
THE BRIEFING
Since we won't be onsite, you'll need to commit to one live briefing with us in the weeks before the event, about an hour, where we walk through setup, POS, pricing, brand voice, and how to shoot the content we're looking for. This session is paid at the same rate as the event.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
-
Comfortable talking and quickly pitching products to strangers in a loud, high-energy environment
-
Retail, sales, or event/promo experience preferred
-
Reliable transportation, you'll need a car for pickup and return delivery
-
Available for the full day, pickup through drop-off, plus a one-hour paid briefing beforehand
-
Comfortable running a POS app on an iPad
-
Detail-oriented with cash handling and inventory
-
Genuinely likes people and can talk about a product without sounding like a script
-
Comfortable representing Charm'd as a women-owned, queer-owned brand that loves all humans
-
Bonus: experience creating and posting social content (selfies, product shots, short clips)
-
21+ preferred given the event environment, bring ID
PAY
$250 for the day, equating to ~$25 an hour. The event day (pickup through return, roughly 4:00 PM to 11:45 PM, about 7 hours 45 minutes) comes to approximately $225 per person. The pre-event briefing is a separate paid hour at the same $25/hr rate.
HOW TO APPLY
Email support@charmdearplugs.co with your resume and a note on why you'd be a good fit to represent the Charm'd brand at this event. Deadline to apply is August 17th. We'll confirm both spots by August 25th, 2026.
Note in your email if you're interested in ongoing work with us, this event can turn into a longer relationship as a Charm'd brand ambassador and event rep for the right fit. If that's you, mention it, and if you already create and post content, tell us that too. Kate and Courtney occasionally coach ambassadors on brand and marketing best practices, pulled from their own backgrounds at Fortune 100 companies and consumer brands like Pokemon and FIFA, so there's real upside for someone building toward marketing or entrepreneurship. This isn't required for the role, just an option worth knowing about.
THE VENUE
Romance Rave is presented by From Milwaukee With Love and held at Vivarium, Pabst Theater Group's newest room, a 450-capacity space at 1818 N Farwell Ave in Milwaukee. Doors and event start both at 7:00 PM on Friday, September 11. Expect a loud, high-energy crowd, this is a rave, not a quiet author signing.
BRAND QUICK REFERENCE FOR STAFF
What Charm'd Earplugs is: patent-pending, industry-first earplugs with a visible charm worn outside the ear. Certified for 28dB of noise reduction, reusable silicone, four interchangeable tip sizes (XS to L) for a real fit, including small ears. Our signature shapes include a yellow star, a pink heart, and a green alien. Founded by two Midwest sisters who wanted hearing protection that didn't sacrifice style. Women-owned, queer-owned.
On-theme pick for this crowd: Love Hearts, which will be back in stock after selling out at Summerfest (!), and about as on-brand for a romance rave as it gets. Worth pointing out to guests browsing the table.
